[GAIJIN UPDATE] MUCC Welcomes Two New Members

Did you ever dream of becoming a member of a Jrock-band? For two MUCC-fans this dream came true!
DEAN and Hancho are the lucky ones that joined Japanese band MUCC today. Earlier this year the band revealed their plans to let two new members join the band becoming YUKKE’s junior fellows. To apply you had to buy all releases since “Arcadia feat. DAISHI DANCE.”. On July 26th viewers of MUCC’s nico program could vote and finally choose those two members.
You can already follow them on twitter: Hancho and DEAN. Maybe we’ll get some English tweets from Hancho who happens to be a foreign exchange student!

[GAIJIN UPDATE] Bassist Miyuu will Leave Tokyo Quartet

JpopAsia.com - Visual Kei band Tokyo Quartet announced at their live on August 14th that bassist Miyuu will leave the band after their one man live "Sayonara Quartet ~aishuu lullaby~". The live will be held at Shinjuku RUIDO K4 on November 10th.
Miyuu pointed out that he wants to focus more on his studies and he doesn't want to continue with the band without being able to put everything he has into it. There will be four lives left until his departure: On September 10th and 11th, on October 15th and then his final live as member of Tokyo Quartet at November 10th.

[GAIJIN UPDATE] GReeeeN reveal PV for 'Itoshi Kimi e'

TOKYOHIVE.COM GReeeeN have revealed the PV for their upcoming single, "Itoshi Kimi e", through Universal Music Japan's YouTube channel.

"Itoshi Kimi e" is currently being used as the theme song for Fuji TV's drama, 'Oh, My Dad!!', starring Oda Yuji. Regarding the song, the members of GReeeeN commented, "We put strong feelings into making a theme song that could help a father and his child to overcome difficulties. Also, when a parent and his child combine their strength to overcome challenges, their hearts connect and it's the most happy time."

The 9-minute PV follows the story of a couple growing old together. This PV will be included in the limited edition DVD.

GReeeeN will release "Itoshi Kimi e" on August 21.
