[GAIJIN UPDATE] "Hidamari no Kanojo" Starring Jun Matsumoto & Juri Ueno Unveils New Trailer

Asmik Ace Entertainment, behind the anticipated movie "Hidamari no Kanojo" that stars Jun Matsumoto and Juri Ueno, has revealed another trailer this weekend. But due to the tight policy of Johnny & Associates on its talents' images, Matsumoto has lesser exposure in this 1 minute and 30 seconds movie teaser.
Based on Osami Koshiyaga's popular romance novel, this movie adaptation tells the story of 'Kosuke' (Matsumoto) and 'Mao' (Ueno) who reunited their friendship after crossing paths again at a client meeting. Being bullied back when she was a student, Mao became a professional and attractive woman over the years.
The two bonds together again which turned into a budding romance. However, Mao seems to be keeping something from Kosuke.
Catch the film as it opens in Japanese cinemas on October 12, 2013. In the meantime, check out the new trailer below!

[GAIJIN UPDATE] Bandai Selling Luffy's Famous Straw Hat

Bandai's official online store, Premium Bandai, is now accepting preorders for a replica of the famous straw hat worn by One Piece's Luffy.
While Bandai sells the hats, Tanaka Hat, a renowned hat shop, make these hats by hand. The hat comes with a neck cord, allowing the wearer to hang the hat from their own back like Luffy in the anime and manga series.
This product is available in sizes, medium and large. It costs 4,980 yen (approx US$50), and will ship in October.

[GAIJIN UPDATE] Funimation Releases Fairy Tail the Movie: Phoenix Priestess English Dub Trailer

Anime distribution company Funimation, who acquired the rights to dub the Fairy Tail series, just released the trailer for Fairy Tail the Movie: Phoenix Priestess at this year's Nan Desu Kan convention.
In the movie, the guild Fairy Tail helps out a girl, Eclair, with little memory and hesitance towards wizards and magic. As they try to piece together her memory, they are attacked by a maniacal prince who desires to use her stone and powers for himself.
The film is set to release on Blu-ray+DVD Combo Pack on December 10.

[GAIJIN UPDATE] CAPSULE reveals jacket covers + track list for 'CAPS LOCK'

CAPSULE has revealed the jacket covers and track list for their new album "CAPS LOCK" that's scheduled for release on October 23.

"CAPS LOCK" is CAPSULE's first album after transferring to Warner Music Japan's label 'unBORDE'. It will feature a total of 8 tracks including titles such as "SHIFT", "SPACE", "RETURN".

[GAIJIN UPDATE] Ikimonogakari to release PV collection in December

Ikimonogakari will be releasing a PV collection called "Tottemo Eezou 2" on December 11.

The group's previous PV collection "Tottemo Eezou" was released back in March of 2009. Their upcoming one will contain a total of 16 PVs from "Futari" (May 2009) to their latest single "Egao". It will also include the PVs' different versions as well as audio commentary from the members.

Additionally, Ikimonogakari will also release a Blu-ray version titled "Kaette Kita Tottemo Eezou". This will contain HD videos of their debut single "SAKURA" to "Kimagure Romantic" (December 2008).

[GAIJIN UPDATE] 9mm Parabellum Bullet to hold 10th anniversary live at Nippon Budokan

9mm Parabellum Bullet will be holding their 10th anniversary live on February 7 and 8th at Nippon Budokan.

This was announced on September 9 during their event 'Chaos no Hyakunen vol.9' at Yokohama BLITZ. For the upcoming concerts, the band will perform their new songs and will give away a CD with live recordings of those new songs. Ticket pre-reservations are currently available via E-plus.
