[GAIJIN UPDATE] MUCC Talk About the Role of the New Band Members

MUCC Talk About the Role of the New Band Members
On August 17th MUCC welcomed two new members. DEAN and Hancho were two of 767 applicants who wanted to join the Japanese band and take part in photoshoots, recordings, interviews and many more! They've made it! Their first interview with barks.jp revealed some details on the new members’ characteristics and intentions. But what was actually the idea behind letting two new members join the band?
MUCC revealed that they’ve reached a limit as four-member band. There are way more things you can do as six-member band, so they decided that it’s time for a next step. It seems like the influences of traditional Japanese music will be more important for the band's future releases. Hancho will play Shakuhachi, a traditional end-blown flute made of bamboo, and DEAN will play Shamisen, a Japanese three-stringed instrument.
They seem to get along very well with the original members and already had their first appearance on TV. And earlier this week DEAN and Hancho had their first day of recording. They didn’t take part in the recording for MUCC’s upcoming single “HALO” but will play their instruments for new releases. Unfortunately it's still unclear if this is a time-limited project or if the new members will be permanent members.
Are you looking forward to hear more from them? And did you already follow them on twitter? DEAN is Japanese, so his tweets are in his mother-language, but if you don’t know any Japanese check out Hancho’s twitter! She’s a girl from Hungary who tweets not only in Japanese but also in English and Hungarian.
Let’s wish the new members the best for those new challenges!
